What is Google Ads?

To understand the costs of an effective Google Ads campaign, you must distinguish between two key inputs:

  • Budget for Google Ads

You set a budget which limits the maximum amount that will be used for your Google campaign. The amount is paid to Google and consumed when people click on your ads. The cost of each click is determined by Google based on the quality of ads and auctions conducted between advertisers.

Even if your Google Ad does appear for a search query, you are only charged if the user actually clicks through to your site.

  • Price for Campaigns

This is the fee payable to SEO Shark as remuneration for our services in preparing and optimising your Google Ads campaign.

We have introduced a new program that specifically targets click fraud on PPC campaigns. Recently, we have seen a dramatic upwards trend of fake clicks occurring on our clients PPC campaign ads.

This is where competitors will continue to click on your ad until they reach the daily budget, therefore resulting in your ad no longer being displayed until the next day.

This is a fairly shady tactic used by businesses, but these days with so much competition, many feel they have fight dirty just to get a step ahead of their competition. This dodgy tactic is no longer effective with SEO Shark’s new click fraud program.

Our program ensures that your ads will not become a victim of click fraud. This therefore makes your PPC campaign a lot more effective as only real potential customers will be clicking on your ad.

Our program is highly effective and there are 4 main stages:

  1. Monitoring – we track every single click on all your ads. We gather and analyse this data to gain valuable information about how your PPC ads are being interacted with.
  2. Detect – here our algorithm helps to identify between those clicks that are real and those that are fake.
  3. Block – after we identify the fake clicks, we will then block that IP address from seeing your ads in the future. While the fraudster believes they have won by maxing out your daily budget, your ads will continue to be displayed for every other user.
  4. Refund – we will also ask Google for a full refund for the fraud clicks.
